In many Buddhist traditions, winter is customarily a time of turning inward and taking refuge in the silence we cultivate within ourselves through meditation. This stillness helps to rejuvenate and open our hearts and minds while also preparing us for spring’s rebirth. Mid-February will be an ideal time to take refuge in a day long meditation retreat.
The retreat will be held on Saturday, February 16 at Penuel Ridge Retreat Center, a quiet rural retreat site near Ashland City. We will have coffee and tea at 8 a.m. and begin our sitting practice promptly at 8:30. A buffet lunch will be provided. We will start the afternoon practice with a discussion period focusing on taking refuge and the retreat experience. Formal practice will end at 4 p.m. with refreshments.
The cost of the retreat is $35, which covers the site rental fee plus food. To confirm your attendance, please send a $20 deposit by February 8 to P.O. Box 150666, Nashville, TN 37215. If paying by check, please make it out to Lisa Ernst. You may also give the deposit directly to me at any of our Monday meditations through February 4. Please include your email address. If you have any questions, email lisa@lisaernst.com
Upon receipt of your deposit, a confirmation with additional retreat details and directions to Penuel Ridge will be sent to you via email.

I am interested in your center. I would like to know if you are familiar with any good retreats, preferrable meditation retreats in your area. Plrease email me or give me a call.
