The Practice of Awakening
One Dharma Meditation Retreat, November 7 – 9
Penuel Ridge Retreat Center
The path of Buddhism offers us a unique opportunity to awaken to our inherent wisdom, compassion, and open heartedness. Over time our perception of awakening can change from the conceptual and distant to our direct experience of this moment. During this retreat, we will have an extended opportunity to awaken our hearts and minds to our true nature in this moment.
The retreat will be facilitated by Lisa Ernst and Tom Neilson, with contributions from Kurt Brobeck and Patsy Cutillo. The schedule will consist of silent meditation, walking practice, dharma talks, one on one interviews as needed and adjunct practices to enhance the retreat experience. The retreat will be held at Penuel Ridge Retreat Center near Ashland City, TN. We will be begin Friday at 5:30 a.m. and conclude at noon on Sunday with lunch and refreshments.
We encourage full participation in this retreat, but arrangements can be made to accommodate those who are unable to attend all three days. We do ask that you commit to at least one full day. Overnight accommodations are available beginning Thursday night. The cost for the retreat is $140 and includes lodging and all meals. If you are unable to attend all three days, the cost will be $50 a day for Friday and Saturday, and $40 for Sunday. Special financial arrangements can be made for anyone who is unable to afford the full retreat fee.
