Monday Practice Night
Every Monday, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Our main meditation night, with an emphasis on mindfulness, metta (loving kindness), and multi traditional foundational practices of Buddhism. We start with a guided metta meditation, followed by sitting and walking practice. We complete the session with a dharma talk and discussion, led by dharma teachers Lisa Ernst and Tom Neilson or advanced practitioner Kurt Brobeck. This is an opportunity to learn more about the teachings and practical application of practice in everyday life. People of all levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to experienced meditators. For your first time meditating with us, please arrive 15 minutes early for orientation. Awakening True Nature Starting September 15
First and Third Thursday Nights, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Emphasis is on the integration of Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, and on innovative approaches to teaching the dharma. Includes teachings on emptiness, direct realization and the integration of Buddhist and Western psychology. Usually led by dharma teachers Lisa Ernst or Tom Neilson. This group is appropriate for people with all levels of experience, although it is especially focused on those with existing meditation experience. Saturday Study Group
Second and Fourth Saturdays 10 – 11:30 a.m.
For those who enjoy discussing and learning about Buddhism and finding ways to bring practice into everyday life. Sessions consist of 15 minutes of meditation, a dharma talk on CD and ample time for group discussion. The group is currently studying Jack Kornfield’s “A Path With Heart.” This is an open group and newcomers are welcome to attend. For more information contact email@example.com
Fall Dedicated Practitioner’s Class (full)
This five week class, starting September 29, is designed for committed practitioners and will allow for deeper exploration of the process and practices of meditation and awakening. Led by Lisa Ernst, the class will offer specific teaching and practice approaches to a consistent group of people.There will be plenty of time for group interaction and feedback. The basic requirements are that everyone attending has an established daily meditation practice, or will re-commit to one, and has attended at least one daylong or longer meditation retreat. Course fee is $125. This class is full, but if you are interested in participating in a future Dedicated Practitioner’s class, please email firstname.lastname@example.org

There is no set fee for any of our open meetings, but your donations allow us to cover the cost of rent and associated expenses. One Dharma is a non-profit organization and your donations are tax deductible.
