This is the official blog of One Dharma Nashville. Currently all of our regular meetings are offered online until further notice. Please visit our website for the most up to date information on our programs and retreats. Normally, we offer weekly meditation at 530 26th Avenue North Avenue each Monday, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. We’re in a spacious and quiet studio with plenty of parking by the building and along the street. We also offer a number of special classes, a POC group and retreats. Our guiding teacher, Lisa Ernst is a fully authorized teacher in the Thai Forest/Spirit Rock lineage of Ajahn Chah, Jack Kornfield and Trudy Goodman. Learn more about Lisa here.
Our weekly Introduction to Meditation class meets at the Osher Center, 3401 West End Ave at Orleans. The parking garage is at the rear of the building on Orleans. There is plenty of parking, which is free and secure. Walk through the glass door at the garage entry level (3rd floor). Turn left and follow the hallway to Vanderbilt Integrative Health, Suite 380. Stay left around the front desk to the first open room on your left. Please remove shoes before entering. There is no fee to attend our meetings, but your donations help us cover the cost of rent and supplies. Please write onedharmainfo@gmail.com for more information
One Dharma Nashville is a meditation group that embraces all Buddhist traditions and is not affiliated with any one. The three main Buddhist traditions of Zen, Theravada and Tibetan have in common certain key elements and practices such as mindfulness, lovingkindness, compassion and non-attachment. These practices took root from Buddha’s strong aspiration that all beings find peace and freedom from suffering. The practices can be utilized by anyone, whether Buddhist or not.
